Texas, one of the strongest economies in the world and ranked seventh globally, continues to establish itself as a strategic destination for Mexican companies seeking to expand into the United States. This was shared by Zaira Sáenz, Operations Director, and Delia Benavides, representative of the Texas Office in Mexico, who highlighted the crucial role of this office in promoting Mexican investment into the state of Texas.

“The main function of our office is to attract investment and support expansion projects from Mexico to Texas. We assist companies in their soft landing process, site selection, and everything they need to start operations successfully,” they explained.

According to Sáenz, there has been a growing interest from Mexican companies in recent months, especially in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy, medical services, and technology. This surge is driven both by Texas' competitive advantages and the diversity of its economic ecosystem.

Each region of the state offers specific opportunities based on the sector of interest. For example, San Antonio stands out for its automotive and manufacturing industries; Houston and Dallas are home to the petrochemical sector and energy corridors; while cities like Austin have become hubs for technology and filmmaking.

“Depending on the type of industry, we can guide companies to choose the most suitable region to establish themselves. The key is to connect their needs with the regional strengths of Texas,” they noted.

Thanks to the work of the Texas Office in Mexico, more Mexican companies are finding a reliable, competitive, and diverse environment to grow across the border. This effort not only strengthens trade ties between the two countries but also promotes job creation, the exchange of innovation, and the integration of supply chains in North America.
